Papers relating to Jack Lindsay and Peter Porter. 1958-1983.

The collection chiefly comprises letters and publications by Jack Lindsay addressed to book collector George Hall, together with correspondence between Huggett and publishers of Lindsay's books. Items held include: *Correspondence, 1969, 1974, 1980-83: letters to Huggett from Inca and Vathek Books, the Mermaid Theatre, and Frederick Muller Publishers; a sequence of letters from Jack Lindsay to George Hall; and a letter from Peter Porter to Alan Brownjohn. *Photographs of Jack Lindsay in later life, taken at his home in Essex. *Mermaid Poetry programmes, 1973-74. *Signed copies of "The Discovery of Britain" (1958), "The Elegy of Haido" (1966), "Sean O'Casey Review", 1975 and 1976, with dedications by Lindsay.
